Welcome!
The Nome Animal House is committed to providing exceptional pet care services that keep your furry family members healthy, happy, and safe. Our staff have many years of experience working with animals as well as experience in veterinary medicine. Staff spends an average of over 100 hours per week (cumulative) on the premises to give our boarding pets the care and attention they need and deserve.

Dogs
- Single Dog - $35.00/Day
- Two Dogs Together - $53.00/Day
- Two Dogs Separated - $65.50/Day
Cats
- Single Cat - $27.50/Day
- Two Cats Together - $41.50

Requirements
All pets must:
- Be up to date on required vaccinations.
- Have had NO contact with contagions/infectious diseases in the last 30 days.
Living Spaces
Dog Runs
Our spacious dog runs range in size from 4 ft x 6 ft (small single) to 8 ft by 8 ft (double run when space is available). Each run is complete with a raised Kuranda dog bed, stainless steel food & water dishes, and indestructible toys. Our boarding dogs always stay in the largest run available and are not crated except for "minis"(under 15 lbs), or during overbooked events. Dog boarding runs are cleaned daily, and fully sanitized 3 times per week, and more if needed.
Cat Condos
Cats are boarded in our "cat condo" in the boarding preparation area where they can watch the activity from the comfort of their perch. Each condo is complete with an enclosed litter box, a comfy cat bed, a raised perch, and their food/water. Cat Condos are cleaned daily and fully sanitized as needed.
Other Pets
We've housed birds, guinea pigs, gerbils, fish, and more! We usually require other pets to come in with their own containment. Give us a call to talk about the boarding needs of your pet.
Community Activities
Play Time
Our boarding staff is experienced in matching up boarding dogs in play groups to maximize each dogs play time! Dogs wanting a more relaxed environment are grouped with like minded friends. Dogs not interested in having furry friends get to spend one on one time with staff. Dogs get as much "out of kennel" time as possible every day.
Fenced Outdoor Playground
Over 2200 square feet of fenced play space complete with giant tires and agility play obstacles! The playground is cleaned multiple times per day. Dogs and play groups are rotated through the playground throughout the day.
Indoor Playroom
Our indoor playroom is a perfect place to play for little pups or during poor weather when the dogs would rather be inside. Complete with play mats, agility tunnels, dog beds, and toys! Small dogs and dogs wanting indoor play space get rotated through the playroom in the afternoons.

Medications
The staff at the Nome Animal House is trained and experienced with administering medication in many forms, be it oral, topical, or by subcutaneous injection.

We strive to provide personalized care that meets the unique needs of your pets. Older pets are given extra floor and bed padding, anxious pets are given the quietest run, etc.
Safety & Security
24 Hour Surveillance
The Animal House has 24 hour surveillance utilizing 10 cameras to monitor activity at every entrance and in all boarding and retail spaces. The cameras can be accessed by management remotely from anywhere.
Temperature Monitors
Temperature sensors are placed in boarding areas to monitor the temperature and ensure that it is kept at a comfortable level for our boarding pets, particularly during weather events when the risk of power outages are elevated. Temperatures can be monitored remotely by management from anywhere.
Sanitation & Disinfection
The Animal House takes sanitation and disinfection very seriously. Along with our strict vaccination policy, our cleaning schedule and protocols help to keep our boarding pets safe by reducing the risk of parasites or infectious diseases being transmitted between pets. The entire facility is sanitized regularly using a cleaning solution that is designed to kill even the toughest virus.
Air Quality
Our high powered air circulation system is programmed to come on periodically throughout the day each day to bring in fresh air and dispel any airborne pathogens.
